Acts of Mercy is a performance inspired by a series of large paintings by Cayley Robinson (1915-20) which were commissioned for the Middlesex Hospital, London W1, where some of the first HIV and AIDS patients in London were treated.  Themes of confusion, loss and vulnerability, addressed in the paintings and faced by both individuals and institutions, during the first World War the AIDS epidemic, will be explored through a life drawing performance and workshop.
